Valentine’s week is upon us, and with that comes lovely flowers at our doorstep. Crafty criminals have been known to pose as flower delivery men, so confirm their company & identity before opening the door. There is also no reason that the delivery man needs to come into your home.

Hotel safety (especially for women) is often overlooked. Here are a few tips to better protect yourself while traveling. A rubber door stopper is an easy thing to pack in your bag and use once you’re inside. Also, consider only using your first initial to avoid gender specificity. Request rooms in high traffic areas, and be discreet.

Police impersonators are not a thing of the past- in fact, North Texas saw quite a few in recent months. Know what to do if you’re being pulled over at night/in an isolated area/alone. Other tips include:
-Ask to see their badge (you can do this by just cracking your window open) A real badge will include a name & law enforcement agency
-Don’t stop until you’re in a well-lit/populated area. Simply turn your hazards on to indicate that you intend to pull over.
