Lucia Bone, Founder, speaks openly about the rape and murder of her sister, Sue Weaver, and the work of Sue Weaver C.A.U.S.E. – Consumer Awareness of Unsafe Service Employment, a nonprofit founded in Sue’s memory.
At one time or another we all must invite a stranger into our home to make a repair or delivery. Sue’s murder could and should have been prevented! C.A.U.S.E. educates consumers and employers on the Dangers of Not Knowing Who You Hire and the importance of proper annual criminal background checks.
C.A.U.S.E. Certification is a program developed to better protect both consumers and employers by requiring annual criminal background checks on all service employees hired to work in or near consumers’ homes or with the vulnerable populations.
